Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Rieko Safiyya is a dynamic vocalist and songwriter whose sound fuses Neo Soul, Jazz, R&B, and Dance into a rich, immersive experience. With a voice that resonates deeply and lyrics drawn from personal experience, her music is a reflection of life’s lessons, emotions, and transformations. Every song she creates is rooted in authenticity—she refuses to write about anything she hasn’t lived.

From a young age, Rieko’s passion for music was undeniable. She honed her craft at Rogers CAPA Middle School and Pittsburgh CAPA High School, later earning a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of the Arts. Her artistry took center stage in 2020 with the release of her debut single, “Day 3”, produced by Cherrelle Champagne and Beaux Jackson. She continued shaping her sound in 2024, releasing music that explores depth, emotion, and self-discovery through collaborations with producers like Kayin, Blckteeth, and Wayv Wilson.

Rieko has made her mark on stages in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh, opening for powerhouse artists like Rico Nasty, Oshun, and Dianna Lopez. As a SCALE Fellowship awardee, she is recognized not only for her vocal talent but also for her commitment to artistry and creative excellence.

Currently, Rieko Safiyya is making a lasting impact on the Philadelphia music scene while beginning to make waves in Baltimore and New York. With soulful storytelling, intricate melodies, and a fearless commitment to truth, she is carving out her own lane—one that is bold, undeniable, and deeply resonant.
